Volunteer With Centering Minds

Give your time. Change a child's trajectory.

Centering Minds runs on more than clinical hours — it runs on people who show up. Our volunteers help us extend our reach: supporting programs, connecting with families, and helping build the community every child we work with deserves. If you’re patient, reliable, and want your time to matter, we’d love to hear from you.

01

What Our Volunteers Do

Four ways to help — we’ll match you to the one that fits your schedule and strengths.

Program & session support

Assisting with in-session activities, materials prep, and hands-on support alongside our clinical team.

Family & community outreach

Helping at events and workshops, and supporting communications that connect families to resources.

Administrative & fundraising support

Help with newsletters, social media, and community fundraising efforts.

Mentorship

For the right candidate, consistent, supervised one-on-one time with a child or sibling.

Who We're Looking For

You don’t need a clinical background to volunteer with us — you need patience, consistency, and a genuine respect for kids who experience the world differently.

What helps someone succeed here

Comfort and experience with children, especially those with autism, ADHD, or other developmental needs — paid work, volunteering, babysitting, or family experience all count.

A patient, calm, steady presence, even when a session or event does not go as planned.

Reliability — we’re counting on the schedule you commit to.

Strong communication skills, and comfort taking direction from our clinical team.

A genuine belief in the potential of every child, regardless of diagnosis or ability level.

Willingness to complete a background check (Vulnerable Sector Check), given our work with children.

A background in education, psychology, social work, ABA, speech-language pathology, or occupational therapy is a strong asset — though not required for every role.
